The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Your Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been intense.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of characters living within the afterlife, pits them against each other with musical numbers about their clashes, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator stated recently. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people make a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on October 29.
